"Great place to go for beginners. I went there for the first time in fear but by the time I left. I was having a great time. Made some friends learned a lot and will definitely be back again. You can come in and easily rent the equipment to snowboard or ski and have a good time."

"Such a great little mountain I imagine it probably does get pretty busy on the weekends But it's great for beginners or even if you are more intermediate don't worry you'll find a few trails while they are shorter they'll still challenge you. I love the old school lift tickets it's so great it's like stepping back in time."

"Ideal ski resort for BEGINNER skiers (and families with young children). This “no-frills” resort is catered to first-time skiers or families. Most of the resort are beginner “green” trails, with a small handful of blue & black trails. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended (whether for ski school, lift tickets, or equipment rentals) because this resort does sometimes sell out. Staff is kind & friendly. (The resort’s website neatly answers all of your questions, and if anything is not there, you can..."

"Visited in early March and the conditions were surprisingly good. They have a solid 18-inch base and 4 of 6 lifts running. The 'packed powder' on the summit held up well. It's a fantastic, low-stress alternative to the bigger, more crowded resorts further north. Great value for a local day of skiing!" Family-friendly, Beginner-focused, and Cozy. The the Ski School is great for younger kids, and the Slopeside Pub offers fantastic views."

"Skiing was nice with many easier slopes.. but the lodge is too small and the rental area allows people to leave all their personal belongings behind which makes it difficult for people trying to put their boots on bc there’s nowhere to sit. Long lines as well towards the midday."

"I've been a skier for my entire life, and while Thunder ridge is not an experts playground, it is a highly accessible and excellent learners mountain. Cannot say enough good words about the snow sports staff and the quality of their instruction for my two young children. Kids had a fun time and were able to graduate from the bunny hill to the chair lift in their first day on skis. Truly a great little hill for the family close..."
